The Young Ink partners with local institutions such as libraries and schools to bring free, hands-on storytelling experiences to young writers. Each project is designed to make creative writing engaging, accessible, and fun.

We created 24 take-home book writing kits for children aged 7-12.
Each kit was fully funded, and included original instructional booklets, writing activities, and creative materials that guided young authors to develop compelling plots with memorable characters, compose engaging dialogue, and create eye-catching book covers.
Children also explored the fundamentals of book marketing by identifying target audiences and learning how authors share their stories with readers.
Deerfield Elementary School

Developed Story Boxes with original worksheets, on-paper games, and creative materials that introduced elementary students to storytelling across multiple formats.
Students transformed comic strips into storyboards, explored the basics of animation and film storytelling, and created puppets to perform their own narratives.
They also engaged in interactive writing activities focused on character development, genre, and plot structure. These activities were designed to encourage creativity through hands-on learning and imaginative play.

Partnered with a regional chapter of a national mentoring program to organize literary-themed activities that encouraged creativity and self-expression.
Participants explored storytelling through original worksheet bundles, comic strips, flip books, and interactive writing games that introduced key storytelling concepts in an enjoyable form for young learners.
